Typeface Challenge

Inspired by the beauty of the often overlooked, this typeface reflects my deep emotional connection to the ocean, rooted in my childhood spent near the beach. While researching for this project, I was drawn to the intricate textures and organic patterns on the surface of moving water. My typeface captures this organic beauty while accurately depicting the fluid and dynamic essence of the ocean’s surface.

Design

As both a designer and mixed media artist, I wanted to showcase the typeface in environments that reflect the beach atmosphere, giving life to the Tides brand. This project weaves my custom typeface into mixed-media-inspired digital designs, capturing key elements of the East End of Long Island. These creations embody the look and feel of the area while blending my artistic vision.
